making disciples of Jesus
5/4/2020 2 Comments Holy Week 2020![]() In 2020, Holy Week - a week where we prepare to remember the death of Jesus and celebrate his resurrection - is unlike any that I have personally known - indeed the Easter celebration this year is most probably unlike any that have been celebrated in the history of the church! Within our Parish, we normally gather at St Mark's each evening at 7:00pm to pray and worship together, and continue to prepare ourselves for the significant remembrance of Christ's death on Good Friday and his glorious resurrection on Easter Morning. The nightly gatherings are often small and intimate, whilst our two bigger gatherings help us to remember and to celebrate what Christ has done for us. Though this year will be different, we will still be remembering and celebrating together online. Mon-Thurs nights at 7pm, you can join a live video on our Youtube channel, where Josh will lead us in evening prayer. It will be a simple and intimate time of prayer and reflection. If you have a prayer book you can follow along, or else you can download a copy of each evening's service here: https://tinyurl.com/uj73zzv (services will be uploaded on Monday morning) Friday at 9:30am we will stream the Good Friday service from St David's Cathedral in Hobart on our Youtube Channel Sunday at 9:30am we will Live Stream our Easter Celebration service, including the Easter Message from Bishop Richard. More details will be provided about this service later in the week. I encourage you to join with us as you are able to this week, as we continue to live out the vision that God has given to us in making disciples of Jesus, building for eternity.
